When you head out camping, it's almost a given that there might not be any power or electrical sources available for you in your camp site. You see, what these outdoor camps are trying to achieve here is that you would be one with nature. It's kind of hard to be one with nature when you have all this convenience that connects you to the outside world. All this isolation comes with a price, and most of the time you will very much need batteries to have to make do of this electrical handicap that you would have to deal with for the duration of your camping trip. Batteries are quite the common consumer product that is being bought like pancakes especially since one really needs them. Batteries are used to power all sorts of things, even your cars or World War II submarines (that's right, they used to run on batteries before and a diesel engine as well). In camping however, there are a lot of apparatuses and other camping equipment that may need some frequent change of batteries during your camping trip. 1. Your radio If you're the type of person that likes to have a soundtrack on his camping trip, then it's rather quite obvious that you would most likely be bringing along with you some speakers or a music player to go together perfectly with your iPod or MP3 player. Now, your iPod doesn't really have any problem regarding its batteries, they last for nearly twenty four hours when playing songs non stop for crying out loud. However, your speakers or music player might not share the same amazing battery life. If you don't want your boom boom to die down before you head back to the city, make sure you have some batteries for it and a whole lot of spares cause these things might just use them up like SUVs and gasoline. And when bringing your speakers or players, always assume that there aren't any electrical connections close by. But to be on the safe side, it wouldn't hurt when you bring along with you the electrical cord. 2. Flashlights, hooray for flashlights! So what do you do when you need to urinate real bad in the dead of the night? Do you walk in the dark hoping you don't trip on anything as you go along? Of course not, right? That's the reason why we all bring flashlights during camping trips. That's because when the sun sets, things get pretty dark out there in the woods. Bringing flashlights along with you is one thing, having batteries for them is another. Depending on how much you use your flashlight, its batteries might just run out sooner than you think. So bring along with you some spares in case these things really do run out. 3. Your lanterns You can't just rely on flashlights and campfires alone for some light; you need other light sources like a lantern that you can put on your table or hang on your tent. These things need batteries too, so make sure you have enough to last you the entire trip. |
