One thing that people never fail to forget when camping is to prepare for supplies like food, water, drinks and other equipment and things that you might want to take along with you the next time you rough it out on the woods. One really important thing you must never bring too little of is water. Water, as we all know, is a resource that we cannot live without. And despite our closeness to nature when we camp, it's still a really good and sensible idea to be bringing along with you your own supply of water. Here are a couple of reasons why you should seriously consider having your own water supply out in the woods. 1. You can't really depend on water from rivers and lakes all the time. No matter how clean and fresh things may appear, you never know what's in the water. You can't exactly be for sure that it actually is safe enough to drink or consume. Who knows that the water that's running down that stream might actually be contaminated with some chemicals that could be harmful to us if we consume it. That's why it's so important that the water you drink should always be safe. You wouldn't want to have diarrhea or cholera in the woods. Medical facilities would surely be quite far from where you and your friends would be camped. So to be on the safe side, just bring along your own water for consumption. If you do run out of water, that's when you should really make tough decisions – either to risk drinking water that you can't be exactly sure that it's safe, or head out to bring in more water to your camp. 2. In case you're going on a hike, you've got yourself covered with some water coming in handy. When you camp out on the woods, there are a lot of things you can do to make sure you have the best time when camped. You can go fishing, have games with your friends, and take walks and hiking trips to try and explore your surroundings. It's always important that you bring along with you water in case you start getting thirsty because you never know how far you actually get from a water source. You wouldn't want to walk all the way back to your camp parched. Being dehydrated is not a very good experience, and you should never test yourself. Our bodies are made up of 75% water; don't even think about braving it without any water at all. 3. Keeping yourself hydrated is as important as eating all the right food. Having enough water means that you wouldn't be depriving yourself from all the much needed water your body needs. On average, we need to consume about eight glasses of water a day, that's two liters of water that you must take in every single day to make sure you don't get dehydrated. So make sure you have water along with you. |
