Not everyone is a nature fan by heart. There are those who simply cannot find the fun in camping out in the wilderness. These are the type of people who can't live without televisions, the radio, computers, the internet and whatever other things that we have grown accustomed to be using every single day. However, there are a lot of things that can help you change this attitude. There can be so much in nature that can be fun to watch and experience firsthand. You just have to take a closer look at these things. And aside from taking a closer look at things, you need to open up your mind first and try to appreciate the beauty and wonder that is nature and what it has to offer. 1. Bring out that telescope and get in touch with those twinkling stars. Stars are wonderful to look at when the sky is clear, without clouds and city lights to cover the bright light they reflect to the earth. If stars are as beautiful as they are from afar, what more beauty can they present if we take a better look at them? With your telescope, you are sure to see these stars up close and learn to love them. You can even bring along a book on constellations. Whichever part of the globe you are camping, you are sure to see a constellation adding up to the design of the dark, vast sky. 2. Pack your binoculars in that bag. Binoculars are really useful. They can get you too see things from afar. These things can be used in checking your surroundings and even for sight seeing. Why waste your time in your tent when you can go out and see the animals living in that mountain your on. Wild animals are not usually in your backyard and especially not in your house. You might say that you have seen them in National Geographic or Discovery Channel, but nothing beats seeing it first hand. You better take that camping trip of yours as an opportunity to explore new things you are not used to seeing. If you are fond of taking hikes and exploring the area you're in, a pair of binoculars is definitely a tool that is definitely indispensable in every nature lovers list of things to bring on a camping trip. 3. Bring a portable DVD player or games just in case it rains. You can never predict when the weather is going to go against you. You can't always expect a sunny morning or a starry night during your camping trips. A DVD player would be heavy but we would always want some form of entertainment if all our plans were messed up by the weather. It never hurts to be ready. How about a deck of cards to play poker or some other card games with your friends and family? Just make sure that despite the rain outside, you can still have fun in your tent. |
