Three Tips In Buying A Tent

Camping has been hailed as one of the best ways for teammates, friends or family members to bond. This recreational activity entails a lot of preparation and the procurement of camping materials. These tips will guide you to your choice and eventual purchase of your tent.

1. For those who are pioneers in camping and are looking for a new tent, the first thing to consider is whether or not the materials are durable enough. At the same time, you should likewise consider your budget, simply because it will seemingly be ironic to consider the best tent but all the while be hindered by your financial limitation. If you can't afford a tent that is made of the most durable materials, you can at least buy something with quality materials in some of its parts that will not break the bank. For this reason, budgeting should be taken into consideration way ahead.

2. Consider the size. If you're not planning to backpack or canoe camp, the size and heaviness will not matter at all. The important thing is that your vehicle will be able to accommodate it. It is also important to consider as to how many heads you plan to be accommodated in the tent or what would be the ideal size for you. If you like to have an extra space where you can put some of your things or you want to move freely inside, you can have 2 is to 1 size – that is, you can get a four-person capacity tent for two heads. On the other hand, there are subdivided tents with multi-rooms which is very much ideal for those who are bringing kids to camping. With that, there can be a little privacy. Subdivided tents may either have two rooms divided with a wall inside where you can pass through a zippered opening or three rooms which are more or less the same with the two rooms, but with an additional screen room which is ideal for changing clothes before actually going into the other rooms. It is always good to have tables and chairs therein, especially when it is raining. Also, there are tents that come with two rooms, which is with a bigger room for sleeping purposes and the other is just a screen room which is ideal for storing things. At least, while you're sleeping, you can maximize the space.

3. The next thing to consider is what the pertinent features of a good tent are. Check these guide tips to familiarize the materials that make up the good and dependable tent.

• Aluminum poles are better than fiberglass poles because the latter is more fragile and can be easily to be broken. Should a pole be broken or bended though, some of the camping stores are selling replacements.

• The rainfly is the umbrella of the tent and it is advisable to have it bigger. A good fly goes down well into the sides of your tent instead of being straight only in the adjacent part of the top side of the tent.

• Folded seams and doubled stitches. By pulling apart the seam of your tent and the stitches can be seen through across, the tent will likely leak. With that, the seams can be covered with a seam sealer.

• Check the tub floor. It is good that the floor of the tent is made of a water-resistant material and should extend through the sides before being sown into the walls so that the no water can get in through the floor.

• Check the guy lines. Walls and rainflies do have loops being attached almost near to the middle that can be used to join the guy lines that will drag the wall for it to be guided especially when it's very windy and it will be hard to go to sleep when the tent is flapping.

• It's good that the tent should have loops in its base for every corner as well as in the center of every side. The said loops should be big that must be sufficient to fit big plastic stakes that are being sold in the stores. Please note that it is preferable to have the loops in material stakes instead of a plastic for it might be broken when the stakes will be hammered.

• Check for moseeum meshing. This is advisable to use to keep away small bugs.

• Check the roof vent. This is advisable to be opened during night time in order to welcome air and to avoid feeling suffocated inside.

• Check for durable zippers. Zippers are one of the most useable parts of the tent therefore it should be durable and heavy duty.
